Decoma Exterior System Engineering11/01 – 6/04

Position: Support Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Installed, configured, maintained, and troubleshot all Microsoft server and workstation platforms including 2000/2003 Server, Windows 98, 2000 Professional, and XP Professional.
  • Active Directory responsibilities included creating users, groups, and their home directories
  • Implemented corporate wide Symantec Anti-Virus product, along with maintaining all updates
  • Managed backup and recovery software utilizing Veritas Backup Exec and Commvault Galaxy
  • Worked with a team to develop PC deployment processes and software configuration
  • Troubleshot and resolved network problems including adding new Dell switches, re cabling closets, and using basic DOS commands such as ping, ipconfig
