Staff Position Description

KCI employs a Manager, Assistant Manager(s), Lifeguards, Snack Bar Attendants, Kenilworth Swim Team Head Coach and Kenilworth Swim Team Assistant Coaches during the summer swimming season and a part-time Administrator year round. The following position descriptions outline the desired attributes, requirements, and duties for KCI staff members as of January 2018.

Snack Bar Attendant

Snack Bar Attendants offer a friendly face to members and guests who visit the KCI Snack Bar and provide high-quality service and prompt fulfillment of orders. Snack Bar Attendants play a valuable part in maintaining cleanliness of the snack bar area and adequate supply levels of refreshments; receive, secure, and record snack bar revenue; and provide recommendations to the Manager based on customer feedback.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 14 years old*
  • Knowledge of and compliance with KCI Pool Rules
  • Trustworthiness for money handling
  • Knowledge (or willingness to learn) how to operate a cash register and provide exact change
  • Ability to monitor inventory and communicate with Manager and Assistant Manager to ensure adequate supply

Duties

  • Prepare and serve refreshments for members in a prompt and courteous manner
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary snack bar at all times; work subject to daily inspection by manager on duty
  • Protect refreshments and funds from theft by Kenilworth Club employees, members, and guests
  • Monitor food and drink supply levels and notify the manager of supply needs
  • Support the Manager and Assistant Manager in maintaining the cleanliness of facilities by performing clean-up duties such as picking up trash, taking out garbage, mopping the clubhouse and snack bar, and cleaning and sanitizing dishes
  • Limit access to the snack bar (Members and guests under age 14 are not allowed in the snack bar area!)

Wage Information

  • $5.00/hour

* If applicant’s 14th birthday falls during the summer season, please apply. If applicant is hired, employment will begin upon birth date.
