“I shouldn’t vote at the society meeting.” Sometimes people think that because they cannot contribute much money, they should not have a say in how the society spends its money. But if you believe in the Lord’s Word, and for that reason you participate in church activities, then you should have a voice and take a share of the responsibility for the church’s uses. We all can play a part in figuring out how to act prudently, to provide for the uses we love and keep the church healthy financially, whether we can contribute a lot of money or a little, a lot of time or a little. I hope to hear from you at the upcoming society meetings. – Lawson
AUTUMN WEEKENDS --- from the Boss: Thank you to the friend who since yesterday filled our need for a second soup this weekend! We still, however, have a desperate need for afternoon help on Saturday particularly. Captain Dandridge needs you! (Captain Jen could use more help on Sunday, too.) Even if you can stay for only an hour, that would be helpful. If you can fit some Autumn Weekends into your own weekend, please go to www.kemptonnewchurch.org and sign up. Thank you – Roger
