Kelvin Leung Elected As New Haffa Chairman

KELVIN LEUNG ELECTED AS NEW HAFFA CHAIRMAN

The Hongkong Association of Freight Forwarding and Logistics Limited (HAFFA), has elected Mr. Kelvin Leung as Chairman of the association. Mr. Leung is currently the Vice President – South East Pacific Region of Danzas Limited.

Commented Mr. Leung, “I am most delighted to have the opportunity to serve and contribute to the logistics industry and to Hong Kong. I would like to thank Mr. Victor Mok for his tremendous efforts over the years. Under Mr. Mok’s outstanding leadership, HAFFA has taken on a more proactive position in representing our members and fostering the development of the freight forwarding and logistics industry.”

“The closer integration of the Hong Kong SAR with the Pearl River Delta will bring new opportunities and challenges to the industry. Going forward, we will continue to promote closer cooperation within the industry and engage in exchanges with relevant authorities in order to enhance the competitiveness of Hong Kong as the region’s leading air cargo hub. I look forward to working closely with the HAFFA secretariat office and the new committee members.” he continued.

The HAFFA 2005/2006 Executive Committee was also elected at the association’s Annual General Meeting held on April 19, 2005. Established in 1966, HAFFA is responsible for setting industry standards as well as providing educational courses which enhance the professional standards of freight forwarders and logistics services providers.
