1. Provide an Executive Summary of the Collaborative Industrial Research Project.
(Please include key research objectives, outputs and commercial deliverables).
2. Provide a brief statement on the importance of the Collaborative Industrial Research Project to the Welsh economy and outline how the project will increase the relevance of academic research to Welsh Industry.
3. Describe the problem or opportunity that the proposed Collaborative Industrial Research Project is attempting to solve.

5. Outline any alternative options that have been considered and indicate why your preferred option is considered to be the best alternative?
6. Identify the industrial partners in the project and their location and indicate which region(s) in Wales will derive greatest benefit from the project.
7. How will the project increase business investment in R&D and develop the research base in Wales?
8. Describe how the outcomes of the project will be taken forward by the industrial partners after the CIRP project.

10. Explain why intervention from the Welsh Assembly Government is necessary by providing details of previous/current funding (both public and private) and explain why public funding is essential to the achievement of the project objectives.
11. Provide details of the proposed project director and the key people who have been assigned to and are involved in the management of the CIRP project
12. Clearly and succinctly explain which elements of the industrial research will be carried out by each partner and how their involvement will benefit the project. (Include all academic and industrial partners).
