We do not charge for consultations. We accept major credit cards only for payment.
We have streamlined our Travel services to ensure this is more efficient and so would ask that if you are travelling, please fill out an online form which is available on our website
and email to our main Waterloo email
Your form will then be assessed by one of the Nursing team within 24-48 hours and an email detailing whether an appointment is necessary will be sent to you. It would also be really
helpful to us if you could include a copy of your vaccination history if you have one. We will do our best to accommodate last minute travel but where possible at least 2 -4 weeks is advisable for submitting the form prior to travelling.

Friends & Family
The NHSFriends and Family Test (FFT) was created to help service providers and commissioners understand whether their patients are happy with the service provided, or where improvements are needed. It is a quick and anonymous way to give your views after receiving care or treatment across the NHS. We are always happy to receive your feedback via the comments cards or via your sms messages following your appointments. You can see our current scores forJune2016 on our website. If you wish to complete a Friends and Family form you can get one from reception or from our website. Ask for one of the following: Our standard NHS FFT Form, FFT form for patients with learning difficulties or our FFT Form for Children & Young People.

Aged 18 or 19 & off to University ?
Protection from Meningitis & Septicaemia
If you are aged 18 or 19 you are invited to receive a free vaccination called Men ACWY. This protects against meningitis (inflammation of the brain) and septicaemia (blood poisoning) caused by meningococcal groups A, C W and Y. The vaccine is being offered in response to a rapidly growing increase in cases of a highly aggressive strain of meningococcal disease group W.
If you are planning on going to University, please make an appointment with one of our nurses before leaving for University to have your vaccination. You are more at risk of meningitis & septicaemia in the first weeks at university, when you are mixing with lots of new people, some of whom may unknowingly be carrying the bacteria. For further information discuss with one of our nurses or visit:
Shingles Vaccinations
From 1 September 2016 patients aged 78 become eligible for their free Shingles vaccination. Shingles, also known as herpes zoster, is a painful skin rash caused by the chickenpox virus (varicella-zoster virus).
The national shingles immunisation programme was introduced by the Department of Health to help protect those most at risk from shingles and its complications (those aged 70 and over). After having chickenpox, the virus stays inside your body and can recur as shingles later in life. Even those people who had a mild case of chickenpox as a child, or didn’t have any obvious symptoms may still be at risk of developing shingles. Although not everyone develops shingles, as we get older our immune system weakens which increases the chance of getting shingles. Unfortunately, shingles in older people tends to be more severe than in younger people. The Department of Health Vaccination Programme is being implemented in stages. For more information about shingles
Our nursing team will be able to advise you if you are entitled to this vaccination on the NHS. If you are not currently entitled to an NHS Shingles vaccination the practice can offer private shingles vaccinations for those aged 50 and over-speak with one of our nursing team for further details.
