“KEEN ON LEAN” at the BEGO International Sales Symposium 2017

The Bremen-based dental specialist invited itssalespartners from all over the world to the 53rd BEGO International Sales Symposium (BISS), which was heldon the 24th and 25thof January, 2017 in Bremen. A total of 81sales partners from 31 countries accepted the invitation from the long-standingfamily company. The participants were provided with exciting lectures by well-known speakers relating to the motto of this year’s event “KEEN ON LEAN” as well as the intensive exchange on the latest issues in the dental world.

This year’s BISS started with awelcomingspeech by the Managing Partner of the BEGO group, Christoph Weiss. “Today we come together as partners and friends in Bremen,” adds Jürgen Schultze,Head of International Sales at BEGO Bremer Goldschlägerei and BEGO Medical. Schultze continues, “With this year’s motto, we would like to show you the potentialof lean management for your company.” The following lecture by Frank Göller about “Passion for Change – Why Lean Thinking Drives Organizational Change” linked directly to the words of the previous presenter. Göller, Managing Director of Festool Engineering GmbH, gave some valuable information for successful lean management. Focus topicsfollowed. Tillmann Steinbrecher, CEO at exocad, presented the newestscan and design technologies. Prof. Dr. Constantin von See, Head of the Center for CAD/CAM and Digital Technology in Dentistry at the Danube Private University in Krems, Austria followed with his speech about 3D printing.Christo Foerster, sport scientist and author of several books, concluded the first day with his lecture “Your Best Self–Next Level Inspiration”. At a joint dinner, the participants took a little time-out together with the BEGO employees.

The second day of the BISS was opened by Dr. Alexander Faber, Head of Corporate Operations Excellence at KAEFER Isoliertechnik GmbH, with his lecture “Creating a Lean Culture”. In addition to further focus topics, the announcement of the winners of the highly coveted Wilhelm-Herbst-Awardfor outstanding marketing and sales achievements for BEGO products was eagerly awaited. The BEGO trade partners Echo Ltd. from Russia (for conventional dental technology), DentMerk BeNeLux B.V. from the Netherlands (for digital dental technology) and ROJAN Darman Company from Iran (for implantologysolutions) received the coveted awards. The awards presentation was followed by trade partnerspresenting market research and success stories from their respective markets.Torsten Koschnitzke, coach and consultant, brought the event to a close with his presentation “Leading in a Lead Culture”. The second day of the conference, which took place at the ATLANTIC Grand Hotel in Bremen once again, was concluded in the traditional manner with the “Farewell Dinner”.

All interested participants were given the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes of BEGO and to visit the high-tech production center in Bremen and thus gain insights into the CAD/CAM world of BEGO.
