The Kearny 150 Sesquicentennial Committee: requesting permission to have Belgrove Drive between Bergen Avenue and Halstead Street, and Passaic Avenue, between Bergen Avenue and Peden Terrace, closed to traffic from 12:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 1, 2017 for the 150th Anniversary Block Party Celebration. The block party celebration will be held at Veteran’s Memorial Field and will include musical performances, presentations from many of Kearny’s civic and cultural organizations, a beer garden, Zip Line, and a grand finale fireworks display at the Frank A. Vincent Marina.
