Position Title
English Instructor 3 Positions
Position Description
English Department, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Management Science seeks full time, English instructors for Kasetsart University Chalermphrakiat Sakon Nakhon Province Campus. The position requires the application to have a demonstrated ability to teach English at Bachelor’s Degree. Major teaching responsibilities will be in English, English Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and English Literature. The successful candidate should possess demonstrated teaching skills in one or more of these areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to engage in scholarly activities related to embellish and enhance the Department of English. This may include such task as creating new courses/programs, developing new English teaching techniques, research and publication, collaborations in a specific project with university faculty member, etc.
Deadline for Application
The position will remain open until filled. Review of completed application packets will begin April 30, 2008 and continue until a suitable candidate is identified.
Salary Range
Salary is dependent upon education and experience.
Minimum Qualifications
1. An earned Master’s Degree in English Teaching, Teaching English as a Foreign Language, Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and English Literature.
2. Experiences in Teaching English.
3. Good personality and interpersonal skills.
4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Words, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Community university teaching experience in English or Linguistics.
2. Demonstrate experience teaching English or Linguistics.
3. Further academic training and research stressing depth as well as breadth of knowledge in English.
Responsibilities
1. Instruct undergraduate students to use appropriate and effective English.
2. Assist with curriculum review, revision and develop the course materials and innovate instructional concepts and techniques to facilitate student learning English.
3. Apply teaching technique effective in real life situation.
4. Prepare lesson plans syllabi and course information sheets, create appropriate teaching aids and arrange provision of instructional materials and activities for students’ usage in class and homework assignments.
5. A well developed ability to communicate an understanding of detailed subject material to a diverse student body population.
6. Attend and participate in non-classroom activities such as staff development, department and division meetings, university and the committees and community service activities.
7. Participate in students advisement
