Kapsch TrafficCom, an international supplier of superior intelligent transportation systems, is seeking an experienced Project Manager. Reporting to the Sr. Project Manager you will be responsible for managing all phases and related activities associated with the implementation of ITS and ETC solutions including; proposal preparation, project planning, risk management, customer management, contract management, sub-contract management, project execution (design, implementation and testing) and project shutdown.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

As the Project Manager specific accountabilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining the project plan.
  • Interpreting project requirements, establishing the performance schedule and cost requirements.
  • Manage the project management implementation team and related subject matter experts, including subcontractors to ensure delivery is on time and in budget.
  • Costing and schedule control- reporting, preparing contingency plans for risk areas.
  • Tracking progress against the project plan; anticipating problems, taking timely action to resolve them, and revising the plan to account for changed circumstances.
  • Coordinating developmental activities and participating in technical reviews.
  • Managing the customer and customer expectations and ensuring that all administrative aspects of the project are addressed effectively.
  • Providing timely and frequent communication of project status and issues to the Sr. Project Manager, other management and team members, and maintaining technical and administrative control of project development and support.

The successful candidate will have a University Degree, a PMP Certification, and a minimum of 5 years of progressive and related project management experience in the implementation of Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Additional qualifications include the ability to understand the technical scope of the work and the ability to coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies during project planning, design, and implementation to ensure compliance with any pertinent requirements.KapschTrafficCom is a global company. Domestic and international travel may be required.
