Advertising Policy

The KU Alumni Association, which publishes Kansas Alumni magazine, is

a volunteer-governed, nonprofit corporation. The Association will accept advertising consistent with these goals:

1.  to enable official University and Alumni Association units and groups to reach alumni.

2.  to provide local and national advertisers with:

a.  an avenue to identify with the University;

b.  a means of supporting the Association’s programs; or

c.  visibility for organizations and products of interest to Association members.

As publisher, the Alumni Association reserves the right to edit and/or reject cancel any advertisement. It also reservcs the right to reject any advertising considered to include objectionable content or image, or any advertising that competes with Association merchandise, programs or services.

Kansas Alumni magazine cannot accept:

1.  advertising for tobacco products;

2.  personal ads;

3.  advertising related to political candidates or political, philosophical, religious or ethical issues;

4.  advertising for donations to groups not associated with the Alumni Association or the University of Kansas.
