INVITATION FOR BIDS
APRIL 23, 2015
Public notice is hereby given that the Board of Education of the School District of South Orange and Maplewood, Essex County, New Jersey invites proposals from qualified bidders for:
K-5 MATH & SCIENCE KITS AND REPLACEMENT PARTS
Sealed proposals must be received and receipted by the Secretary of the Board no later than:
11:00 A.M., WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2015
and will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately thereafter. Any proposal submitted after the specified time and date will not be considered. The Board of Education assumes no responsibility for bids mailed or misdirected in delivery.
1. Submit one (1) proposal bid with original signatory in an envelope to:

2. Plainly identify the Bid Project on the outside of the sealed envelope by name.
3. A Bid Bond or Bank Check for ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount must accompany the Bid, but not in excess of $20,000. We require a $2,000. minimum Bank Check or Bid Bond submitted with the Bid.
No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date of the opening thereof. The South Orange and Maplewood Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals or parts thereof and to waive any immaterial defects or informalities in any bid. Bids which fail to meet the bid bond requirements or responsiveness criteria in this Invitation for Bids will be rejected. Bids submitted under the terms of New Jersey Statues not including a copy of a valid and active Prequalification/Classification Certificate will be rejected.
Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 Public Contracts Affirmative Action Statute, Prevailing Wage Act P.L.1963, C150(C.34:11-56.25 et.seq.), N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-1 et. seq., pertaining to the “Public School Contracts Law”, and Business Registration Requirement C57, Laws of 2004(S1778), the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et. seq., and with any and all other Federal and New Jersey Statutes.
