JUMO Presentsthe First plastoSENS T TemperatureProbes
Innovative temperaturemeasurementtechnology in a uniqueplastic design

JUMO plastoSENS is a completelynewprocessformanufacturinghigh-qualitymeasurementtechnology. The sensorsarecoatedwithplastic in an injectionmoldingprocess. The firsttemperatureprobesarenowdemonstratingthisrevolutionarytechnology'swidevarietyofapplications.

JUMO plastoSENS T productsarecharacterizedbycompletefreedomof form as well as a lowweightandhighreproducibility. In addition, theyhave an extraordinaryinsulationresistance. Usinghigh-temperatureplasticsenables a response time similartostandardprobesmadeofmetal. Threeinitialdevelopmentsforvariousindustriesandapplicationsdemonstratethe potential of JUMO plastoSENS T.

JUMO plastoSENS T01:
Voltage-resistantplastictemperature probe
JUMO plastoSENS T temperatureprobesmadeofhigh-temperatureplasticsarebothelectricallyinsulatingandthermallyconductive. Thismakesthem easy touse in environmentswithveryhighcurrentsandvoltages such as in transformers, generators, orcombinedheatand power plants. JUMO plastoSENS T01 is a standardized, voltage-resistant probe with an insulationresistanceofupto 10 kVandwhichcanbeusedat a continuousservicetemperatureof -50 to +200°C. Conventionaltemperatureprobescanwithstand a maximumof 2.5 kV.

JUMO plastoSENS T02:
Vibration-resistantplastictemperature probe
Vibration represents a majorproblemformeasurementtechnology in enginesofvehiclesormachines. Placingthetemperaturesensor in the probe tube so thatitistruly in a securepositionisverycomplexwithconventionalprobes. However, in thecaseof JUMO plastoSENS T, thesensoriscompletelycoated in plastic. JUMO hasthereforedeveloped a vibration-resistantandshock-resistant push-in probe thatcaneasilywithstandforcesofupto 20g andcanbeused in almost all liquids in a temperaturerangeof -40 to +180°C. JUMO plastoSENS T02 is also characterizedbybeinghighlyfail-safeandhaving a lownaturalfrequency in theeventofvibrations.

JUMO plastoSENS T03:
Steam-tightplastictemperature probe
In sterilizationapplicationsor CIP cleaning, sensorsareexposedto a particularlystressfulcombinationofhightemperatures, moisture, andpressure. Withthe JUMO plastoSENS T03 probe forsterilizationapplications, theappliedhigh-temperatureplastics form a substance-to-substancebondduringtheinjectionmoldingprocessandtherebyguaranteesteamandwatertightness. Thisis an invaluableadvantage, particularlyforthecableoutletfromthe probe, whichis a criticalpoint. The FDA compliant probe canbeused in a temperaturerangeof -50 to +150°C.
