2016 Summer Student Scholarship
Purpose: To provide medical students with an interest in urology with a summer research opportunity so they may gain exposure to urology and endourology.
Deadline: Applications must arrive in Endourology Society Office no later than Monday, January 4th, 2016

Selection Criteria: Based on a careful review of the applications and accompanying materials, the Executive Committee of the Endourology Society will select three (4) individuals for the 2016 Summer Student Scholarship. One individual will be selected from the North America, one from Asia, one from Europe and one additional scholar. Applicants will be notified no later than March 1st, 2016. All recipients will be required to submit a summary at the conclusion of their summer project. Selection will be based on:
1. Central role of the medical student in the research project
2. Completeness of the research plan and feasibility of reaching the study endpoint
3. Merit of the project as it relates to the mission of the Endourological Society
Notification Process: Letters will be mailed by March 10th, 2016 to all applicants regarding their status.
Funding: Thanks to the generosity and commitment of the Endourology Society, a stipend of $1,500.00 will be provided to the awardee.
