The Department of Journalism is seeking a qualified instructor for the following course for the Winter Term:

JOUR 537/4Visual Journalism Portfolio (3 Credits)

Tuesday 12:30 -14:45

This advanced capstone workshop focuses on students creating professional portfolios, helping them create and establish their individual brands as professional visual journalists

Job requirements:

Candidates must have at least 5 years of relevant professional journalism experience as well as a thorough understanding of how professional visual journalism portfolios are created and branded. Experience in the self-presentation of visual journalistic work is also required. Teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset. An advanced degree is also an asset

Applications must include the following documents:

  • A covering letter that would include how you approach the course material;
  • Updated CV;
  • Supporting documentation that demonstrates knowledge in the subject area (e.g. recent publications, recent professional or educational activities);
  • A statement of your teaching philosophy
