About the role

As part of our Independent Living Service, we run the payroll for disabled people who chose to employ their own personal assistants (PAs).

In this role, you will be providing a high quality customer focussed multi-payroll service to our customers. You will use theexperience you bring to this role to carry out all the standard payroll duties and processes, including; holiday pay calculations, SMP, SSP, Pension contributions etc.to ensure the efficient and accurate delivery for our service users.

You will interpret time sheets and expenses forms to ensure accuracy of the data input into our systems. In support of our service users, you will be responsible for carrying out HMRC payments and reconciliations on their behalf. You will also help them understand their statutory duties,anticipating their needs and helping them with any forward planning.

Full training on our software systems will be provided.

You will work to promote the equality, dignity and human rights of disabled people as defined through the social model of disability.

About you

Qualified to GCSE level (or equivalent) and being able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in your work, you will have a proven track record ofrunning payroll servicesusing bespoke and off-the-shelfsystems software. Experience of SAGE Payroll Systems would be an advantage. You will have a strong customer service ethos with the ability to translate technical information into layperson’s terms. You will have a high degree of empathy and understanding of our customers’ individual requirements. Whilst not essential, a personal experience of disabilitywould be an advantage.
