Role Summary:

It is your responsibility to work as part of a team to provide a first class service supporting both veterinary practices and their staff, and our field sales team. Your emphasis must always be on delivering what we promise and exceeding expectations.

Main Duties:

Sales Orders

·  co-ordinate all orders and ensure timely dispatch of products to veterinary practices and other customers

·  ensure all orders are placed on the system and invoiced accordingly

·  manage VetPlus stockholding in Dublin to guarantee adequate stock levels and minimum 12 months expiry on all products

Telemarketing

·  on a daily basis proactively call veterinary practices in specific areas to generate orders and provide telephone support to the practice

Practice & End User Support

·  first point of contact for veterinary practices and end users

·  fulfil all literature and promotional item orders on a same day basis

·  administrate the “Preferred Partnership Programme”

·  take technical enquiries and, where necessary, pass to the Technical Advisor

·  handle any product complaints and report these using the correct SOP

ASM Support

·  provide office support to the field sales team

·  ensure all practices are set up on Vision

·  prepare starter folders for new ASMs

·  when requested order and check prices of competitor products

·  keep stocks of business cards for all RSMs/ASMs

·  update mailing lists

·  help organise travel and accommodation for meetings

Lunch & Learns

·  organise Lunch & Learn meetings for the ASMs

·  keep the Lunch & Learn spread sheet up to date making sure it’s filled in accurately on a daily basis and noting any cancellations

·  send out confirmation letters and posters as soon as booking forms are sent in

·  process thank you letters, feedback forms and CPD certificates the day after each Lunch & Learn

·  record the details from returned feedback forms on the Lunch & Learn spread sheet

·  follow up phone calls to practices that haven’t returned feedback forms

·  ensuring all ASMs return their attendee lists

Marketing

·  order all literature and maintain stock levels

·  liaise with the UKMT to ensure the most up to date artwork is always used

·  always obtain three quotes for all literature

·  create purchase orders for any literature ordered

·  organise mail shots

·  keep databases current and up to date

·  ensure ASMs have sufficient marketing materials and literature for any shows they attend

·  help source promotional items when requested

Other Challenges:

The post-holder will also be required to:

·  work additional hours to meet the needs of the business

·  attend staff meetings and training as needed

·  travel to other sites, as needed

·  carry out any other duties as are within the scope and purpose of the job as requested by the RSM

Personal attributes

The post-holder will have:

·  previous office/admin experience

·  excellent telephone manner

·  ability to use own initiative

·  knowledge/ likeness of companion animals would be advantageous

·  good interpersonal skills

·  good IT Skills

The post holder will be expected to:
