JobSummary:

Provide effective service delivery to the adults and children in residential facilities. Supervision, training, and coaching of Residential staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that individuals entering program meet the guidelines established by the YWCA and are in compliance with all Federal and State regulations.
  • Establish and implement a plan of action with each individual and child including but not limited to, counseling, information and referrals, advocacy/accompaniment with courts, law enforcement, DSS, medical, housing, employment and education.
  • Assure the facilities are maintained so that they are safe and clean and continually meet the standards required by the permitting officials.
  • Supervises Team Leader and Resident Assistants: works with staff to establish goals, performs annual reviews with staff and assists staff with Paylocity as needed.
  • Ensures that staff completes required yearly OCFS trainings.
  • Prepare and deliver all required monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to the Assistant Director Residential Crisis Services in a timely manner.
  • Work with all YWCA residential and non-residential staff to coordinate delivery of services for the individuals in residence and after departure from the facilities.
  • Conduct intake and exit interviews.
  • Establish, maintain strong linkages with social services, education, housing, legal, and medical/mental health providers to assure appropriate client services delivery.
  • Keep appropriate records and reports according to policy and procedures.
  • Maintain a level of knowledge that is current and applicable to performing this position, including, but not limited to, issues pertaining to domestic/sexual violence, to runaway/homeless at risk youth.
  • Make child abuse reports to the registry as needed.
  • On call coverage at a minimum of one weekend per month.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Specifications:

Education:

  • Associates degree in human services or social work preferred or 2 years experience in the field of domestic/sexual violence and/or runaway/homeless at risk youth.

Equipment Used:

  • Computer, fax, adding machine, telephone, voice mail, copier. Must hold a valid driver’s license and insurance and be able to travel as necessary.

Physical Activities:

  • Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, grasping, talking, hearing.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Visual Acuity Required:

  • Heavy acuity is required in this position.

Work Conditions:

  • There is no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions with the exception of weather-related travel conditions.
