Job title: Senior Brand Manager

Reports to: Head of Brand Marketing

Department: Marketing

Main Purpose of job: To champion HSG’s trade-facing brands - Speyside Glenlivet, Hydr8, Hydr8 Flavours and Own Label product. Develop, manage, implement and evaluate commercial marketing plans in support of each brand

To support the Group Export Team in providing marketing planning and communications for Highland Spring and Speyside Glenlivet brands in international territories

To activate Highland Spring brand trade communications, in support of the Sales and Customer Marketing Teams

To assist Head of Brand Marketing on Strategic Projects and Innovation/NPD

Main duties:

·  Responsible for the development of the annual Speyside Glenlivet, Hydr8 and Hydr8 Flavours marketing plans including any associated budget

o  Develop, own and promote strategic recommendations for the brands, cognisant of commercials around brand production, distribution, customers and price as well as sales targets

o  Manage and implement brand activity including PR; production of collateral materials; trade advertising; digital comms

o  Manage ad hoc requests and create and react to tactical opportunities

o  Manage internal brand communications to ensure visibility of all key brand marketing activities to staff across all Group sites

o  Ensure brand compliance across all key touch-points to maintain quality of brand presentation and brand continuity

·  Key marketing partner for the growing Export team, providing guidance and support for Highland Spring and Speyside Glenlivet brands in target territories, primarily in support of distribution partners

o  Manage and implement brand activity including PR; production of collateral materials; trade advertising; digital comms

o  Manage ad hoc requests and create and react to tactical opportunities

o  Manage internal brand communications to ensure visibility of all key brand marketing activities to staff across all Group sites

o  Ensure brand compliance across all key touch-points to maintain quality of brand presentation and brand continuity

·  Responsible for activating Highland Spring brand trade communications, in line with the annual brand plan and working closely with the Customer Marketing team

o  Assist in the development of the annual Highland Spring Brand Plan with specific responsibility for trade communications

o  Ensure brand compliance across all key trade touch-points to maintain quality of brand presentation and brand continuity

·  Assist Head of Brand Marketing in the development, management and implementation of strategic projects and brand development, including own label strategy, appropriate to both consumer and trade audiences

Key skills and requirements:

·  Formal Marketing qualification – Honours degree preferred

·  Experienced in FMCG brand marketing – food or drink preferred

·  Minimum of 3 years’ experience gained within marketing team in brand or customer marketing

·  Strategic thinker with proven experience in developing actionable brand insights from consumer and market data

·  Engaging and enthusiastic team player; strong on ideas and creating opportunities with a small budget

·  Strong influencing skills with evidence of managing key stakeholders effectively

·  Strong presentation and communications skills (written and verbal)

·  Highly organised and a solution thinker

·  Commercial acumen and proven budget management experience essential

·  Strong project management skills – experience of managing multiple projects through the full project lifecycle

·  Experienced in managing agencies in a range of marketing disciplines
