Job Title:Scholarship ManagerExemption Status: Non-exempt

Primary Function: Under the direction of the Principal, is responsible for the stewardship program in the school, including scholarship applications, organizing and tracking allocations, registrations, and collections.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Shall recognize and support the unique Catholic Mission of the Parish by speaking, acting, and instructing consistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. The employee may not espouse any doctrine inconsistent with the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church;
- Shall abide by Catholic principles in the employee’s professional and private life, and shall govern his/her professional and private life in strict accordance with Catholic morals and principles to demonstrate complete adherence to Catholic moral strictures;
- Shall give evidence of living Gospel values by being an active member of a faith community and being open to the importance of a personal faith journey; shall strive to model the teaching of Jesus by attitude and example in the employee’s professional and private life;
- In collaboration with the principal, organize and track opportunities for scholarship and other fund-raising activities and capital campaigns.
- Coordinate with the principal on public relations and marketing activities brochures and other required publicity.
- Develop, manage, and maintain database and timeline of scholarship awards.
- Prepare periodic scholarship updates (specifically tax credit and Empowerment Scholarship Accounts)and other reports as required by the principal.
- Completing the registration and contract signing process with families
- Track, communicate, and collect outstanding tuition balances
- Foster communication and work collaboratively and positively with families, employees, and volunteers.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Physical/Mental Requirements: Requires coordination and manual dexterity, normal mental and visual ability; ability to lift as required in a normal office environment.
Required Activities: Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, carrying, and keyboarding
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a working knowledge of and a strong commitment to the mission of the Diocese and Catholic Church. If a baptized Catholic, must be a practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Church; if not a baptized Catholic, must nonetheless abide by Catholic principles in the teacher’s professional and private life.
- Excellent communications skills, verbal and written; excellent human relations and interpersonal skills
- Exercise courtesy to fellow employees, parishioners and the general public
- Must be a self-starter, well organized; perform multiple tasks simultaneously and work with a sense ofurgency
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, especially regarding school families’ personal information
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment; punctuality is a must at all times; ability to travel locally as required
- Working knowledge of computer technology to include word-processing, spreadsheets and power point
- Professional bearing; clean and neat personal appearance
- Ability to successfully pass a background, criminal history, and credit history check
- Assist families with the scholarship application process in a patient, courteous manner
- Knowledge of marketing and public relations methods, techniques; excellent presentation skills
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or similar field.
- 2 years’ experience in a position of financial responsibility
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Catholic Schools and parish organizations
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) required
