1. Knowledge

Knowledge of Revenues legislation.
Knowledge of court legislation and procedures.
Knowledge of computerised systems.
2. Practical Skills
To what extent is the post holder required to be practically orientated, mechanically minded, manually dexterous etc.?
Ability to use keyboard and telephone.
Ability to drive.
3. Intellectual Skills
What abilities are necessary in respect of interpreting complex information, understanding detailed reports, decision making etc.?
Ability to interpret information and make decisions on the basis of this interpretation.
Methodical and organised approach.
Ability to interpret numerical information.
Ability to work alone and unsupervised.
Good telephone and customer enquiry skills.
4. Educational Background
Any formal qualifications essential to enable the post holder to carry out the duties of the appointment to an acceptable standard, or is relevant experience as beneficial? Proven numeracy and literacy skills.
3 GCSE’s minimum or equivalent or demonstrated through work experience.
5. Training

Experience in a Revenues Collection/Recovery environment.
Court and Recovery procedures.
