JOB TITLE:ODO Contract Site Support Manager

REPORTS TO:ODO Contract Site Manager

SUBORDINATE POSITIONS:SiteService Supervisors/Site Service Personnel

POSITION OBJECTIVES

  • Coordinate the day to day site operations at ODO to deliver safety, quality and financial performance.
  • Ensure Customer satisfaction and maximize sales by identifying opportunities for Wearx Products and Services
  • Manage and develop a core crew of trained and competent supervisors, rubber liners, sandblasters and painters.

ROLE CONTEXT

  • The position reports to the Contract Manager who has overall responsibility for Contract Compliance, however, the role operates on a back to back shift with the Contract Manager, and during these times, the position takes full responsibility for all crews and work on Site.
  • The position also requires close interaction with the Safety Manager to ensure implementation of Group Policies, Statements, Procedures and legislative requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Cooperate with and contribute to the Wearx HSE System and comply as far as reasonably able, with procedures and lawful instruction given by the PCBU to meet legislative and regulatory compliance
  • Compliance to all BHP ODO Safety requirements
  • Cooperate with and contribute to the Wearx Quality Management System, includingconformance, development and implementation of manufacturing procedures and work instructions within the quality management system
  • Take reasonable care of your health and safety and do not act in a way that does not adversely affect the health and safety of others
  • Ensure that you are suitably trained and competent to perform your assigned tasks and actively participate in available training to support quality and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) objectives
  • CoordinateSite Crews to ensure all work is completed safely, and to allocated time frames
  • Legislative safety/environmental compliance of plant and equipment

DUTIES

  • Report safety and environmental incidents (medical treatments, lost time injuries and near misses)
  • Treat plant and equipment with care
  • Active participation in audits and meetings and provide input as appropriate
  • Identify potential hazards and implement controls to eliminate accidents and injuries
  • Investigate all incidences, ensure corrective action and maintain incident records
  • Collect and record data and provide periodic reporting
  • Maintain work schedules to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resources
  • Arrange and plan mobilization and demobilization of personnel to meet site requirements
  • Coordinate service activities to ensure service is maintained at the highest standard and both the Customers and Wearx expectations in relation to Quality, Safety and Efficiency
  • Overall supervision of personnel on site whilst installation, auditing and maintenance activities are being undertaken
  • Control of operating costs
  • Work closely with Site Management and operations to maintain working relationships with our Customer
  • Investigate Customer complaints and ensure corrective action is taken, initiate reports and provide follow up with the appropriate departments
  • Deliver continuous improvement
  • Provide technical support
  • Promote Wearx products and services to the Customer, identify and actively contribute to realizing opportunities
  • Ensure all new employees are employed and inducted within company guidelines
  • Set KPI’s and review staff performance in line with company procedures
  • Write and implement, procedures work instructions and position descriptions as appropriate
  • Review and approve quotations in line with company approvals statement
  • Review and approve supplier purchase orders

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a Supervisory or Management Role
  • Qualifications in Management
  • Trade Qualification together with significant practical experience on Site
  • Sound computer skills
  • Previous OEM experience will be highly advantageous

This position derives from the Contract Manager the degree of authority required to perform independently and with full accountability for results in the above functions.

EXPENDITURE

Within established limitation the position has authority to expend authorized company funds or self funds for reimbursement by the company for traveling, meals, lodging or entertainment.
