Job Requirements: The Account Executive, ListManagement Sales position is responsible for producing significant revenues through the acquisition of data products to be exclusively managed by SmartSource Media, LLC. Prospective clients will include health publishers andhealth/medical associations. There is a heavy service component in managing client accounts. Some travel may be required.

Other key responsibilities include identifying and nurturing new prospects, working with the owner to implement strategies. A constant effort to understand and correctly report client and internal marketing needs and trends is vital to the success of this position.

Duties:

Contribute to the achievement of Sales Department yearly revenue targets. Perform and coordinate all activities essential to growing the business through planning and implementing all types of customer contact: onsite visits, trade shows, telephone and written correspondence. Supplies periodic reports detailing activity.

Provides ongoing industry intelligence and recommends product and content enhancements to the Manager, Custom Sales.

Populates and updates pertinent sales databases and keeps track of monthly and YTD sales by product.

Develops and manages the activities and relationships that support the account strategies with groups such as Fulfillment, Customer Service and Technical Support. .

To take responsibility for identifying your own training and developmental on an on-going basis.

To make positive efforts to promote personal safety and that of others by taking reasonable care at work, by carrying out the requirements of the law or following recognised codes of practice provided or advised by management to ensure safe working practices.

Skills/Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or Liberal Arts with a minimum of 2 years sales experience is required.

Prior experience in selling marketing services: direct and electronic marketing lists, information products, and website marketing/ecommerce.

Proven ability to effectively work in multiple marketplaces and to learn and communicate products in those marketplaces.

Ability to work in a consultative manner with customers, close sales and work in a quota driven environment.

Excellent written communications and presentation skills, including the ability to generate effective sales proposals.

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously while being well organized, detail oriented and accurate in a deadline and sales-process oriented environment.

Strong selling and communication skills are essential; knowledge of and familiarity with direct marketing multi-channel products is a plus.
