SUMMARY: Primarily to assist in the handling, set-up, configuration of PC equipment in support of the organizational cycling program. Secondarily provide PC equipment inspection with virtual and physical clean-up. Lastly, provide basic IT support to internal users of PC equipment, peripherals and MS Office with basic user questions and light MS-Office training.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Configure and deliver PC equipment and peripherals including,set-up, testing, install software and updates ofrequired applications.
  • Virtual and physical PC Equipment clean-up.
  • Coordinate installation of hardware and software with users as directed by IT Application Support and other IT personnel as directed.
  • Provide support and basic user training of MS Office or other applications as directed.
  • Update documentation and defined databases as directed.
  • Assist in support of delegated areas of the IT user helpdesk.

EDUCATION (OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE): High School or pursuit of technology degree with a two year or four-year college or university.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have an interest and aptitude of computer hardware, operating systems, MS Office software, and a strong desire to be exposed to a wide variety of related IT tasks.
