Job Title:Fundraising ,Communications & Marketing Manager

Location:Coleshill, Warwickshire

Salary:SCP 37-SCP 39£31,674.00 - £33,661.00

depending on qualifications and experience

Hours:37 per week

Responsible to:Line Manager

Job Purpose:

To develop the fundraising,communications & marketing of the Society in line with the Society’s development strategy, and to manage the department’s staff, ensuring that all activities are effective.

Main Duties:

Fundraising

1Further develop and implementthe3 year fundraising strategy, setting priorities,targets and timescales.

2Develop and strengthen existing individual donor support, particularly regular giving, in the Catholic parishes of the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

3Develop and strengthen fundraising support in the primary and senior Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Birmingham.

4Apply to grant making trusts for new projects following discussion with Line Manager

5Ensure, with staff member responsible, optimal use of donor database (Donorflex)

6Organise legacy campaigns

7Investigate new areas of fundraising

8DevelopCorporateand event fundraising.

Communications and Marketing

1Develop a communications and marketing strategy for the Society and suitable materials to

support such strategy,particularly for such key support areas as Catholic parishes and

Catholic schools.

2Develop, with other members of the team, educational materials to increase awareness of

Social issues and the work of the Society and to support the fundraising efforts.

3Undertake talks and presentations on the work of the Society.

4Oversee the use and maintenance of the new website.

5Ensure implementation of refreshment of brand, in discussion with CE ,Trustees , SMT

Staff, Volunteers and users.

6With CEO and SMT review and revise all current print publicity.

7Oversee production of print material ,including Annual Review , Newsletters , Dear Father

(newsletter toall clergy),posters ,leaflets.

8Lead on and implement use of digitalmedia –Facebook ,Google + ,Twitter etc. including

emaile-newsletter forcommunication withsupporters ,staff and the wider community.

9With Line manager and CE oversee internal communications in the organisation so that Trustees, Staff & volunteers are fully informed of services,activities and developments.

10Work with Heads of Department and project managers to publicise and support the services available.

11Market FHS’s services –particularly Fostering and Adult care – to ensure optimal take up of these services.

General Tasks

1To support and manage the fundraising department staff (3 part time school and parish fundraisers, part time Trust fundraiser ,and Admin support officer (responsible for Donor database),and any other assigned staff, providing adequate induction ,supervision, support and appraisals in line with Society Policies.

2Ensure that volunteers within the fundraising department are properly managed and

encouraged.

3To ensure that all fundraising activities comply with the law and are effective.

4To prepare report on all fundraising activities and their results.

5To manage the fundraising / publicity budget and comply with financial procedures.

6To participate in annual budget setting and periodic development plans and reviews.

7To be aware of changes in law or tax related to fundraising.

8To undertake all other reasonable tasks in keeping with the post as requested by Line Manager
