Overview of department:
​Information Technology Services (ITS) provide secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions required to support the Company’s operations and objectives.
The Directorate is responsible for the information technology systems and services that are deployed across the whole of SLC.

Grade: G3

Reporting to: Chief Information Officer

Budget Responsibility: None

Line Management Responsibility: None

Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive and confidential executive support service to the Chief Information Officer and Senior Management Team
Key responsibilities:
  • Scheduling activities including organising events, preparing itineraries, managing multiple calendars and associated logistical arrangements, ensuring all concerned are aware of upcoming commitments and responsibilities
  • Manage travel, accommodation and logistics for the Director
  • Maintain record keeping systems on behalf of the Director
  • Collate, review and prepare a range of correspondence, memos and reports for the Director
  • Communicate directly, and on behalf of the Director, with ELT/SMT members and other SLC staff
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and act as a key point of contact for these stakeholders
  • Monitor correspondence for the Director, highlighting matters of urgency or importance and action/respond to emails on behalf of the Director where appropriate
  • Maintain confidentiality in relation to all correspondence and information to which the post holder has access
  • Manage directorate wide focuses such as internal communication and roll out of new initiatives
  • Co-ordinate expenses and other commercial activity on behalf of the Director
  • Co-ordinate arrangements for VIP visits
  • Other tasks as needed

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience providing EA support to an Executive Director is essential
  • Comprehensive secretarial skills
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication abilities
  • Good interpersonal skills with high degree of discretion and professionalism
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational, time management and prioritisation skills
  • MS Office and Lotus Notes proficient
  • Some flexibility on working hours will be required to meet pressing deadlines
