Job title:Enterprise Manager – “Training & Employment”

Responsible to:The Director of Operations

Place of Work:Bognor Regis. The postholder will also be required to work across all Client Services Projects.

Main Purpose of the job:To manage the Stonepillow Enterprise Project offering Training & Employment advice/support including Work Experience opportunities to Stonepillow peer mentors’ group ASURA and other abstinent clients/trainees. This will involve creating a service responding to training and employment issues which are common to those who are homeless, unemployed, recover from substance misuse and are in some way socially disadvantaged to access the work market.

Key Areas / Description
Main duties & responsibilities /
  • Developing a visionary Training & Employment linked project incorporating the Day to Day management of a social enterprise shop. Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with our joint partners and relevant supporters over a wide range of challenges affecting our Trainees.
  • Ensuring equality of response to Stonepillow Trainees who seek Work Experience Opportunities within a framework of confidentiality and operating within clear professional and confidential boundaries.
  • Maintaining a focused, skilled and enabling environment throughout the service.
  • Implementing and reviewing Training & Employment support plans facilitating each Trainee to lead the process. Where appropriate, work with advocates or representatives from other services, to coordinate an integrated support approach.

Service Provision /
  • Actively seeking to empower Trainees to gain and maintain control over their work experience aspirations
  • Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with relevant voluntary and statutory agencies e.g. educational providers, Probation, DAAT, CRI, Mental Health Team, Police.
  • Actively seeking to build new relationships with local Employers to increase portfolio of training support.

Administration /
  • Ensuring all confidential records are stored to comply with Data Protection Regulations;
  • Maintaining accurate records to monitor support plans, provide statistics for the purpose of reporting on service provision and performance to the CEO.

Confidentiality /
  • This policy covers all Stonepillow employees and volunteers, all of whom will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement. Anyone working for Stonepillow who breaches the agreement will be liable to disciplinary action under the staff Disciplinary Procedure.

General /
  • Communicating clear and accurate records of support & risks assessments within Stonepillow services/projects ensuring confidentiality.
  • Implement and attend team meetings to maintain good communication between all of Stonepillow projects.
  • Undertaking any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time.
  • Travel between all Stonepillow Projects as and when required.
