Job Title: Completion Engineer

Location: Canonsburg, PA

Reports to: Completion Manager

Job type: Full-time

Required travel: 30-50%

Position Summary: The Completion Engineer provides technical leadership and support to Completions, ensuring safe design execution and optimized operations. This position will work closely with field staff to support every aspect of field operations.


Responsibilities:


Provide day-to-day Completion Engineering that includes:

·  Ensure compliance of companies HSE policies within the completion team

·  Provide technical support for all Completion related operations including: well prep, fracturing, perforating, snubbing and coil tubing operations as well as flowback and water logistics

·  Modeling Completion performance to determine overall design efficiency utilizing past results to improve future designs

·  Accurately design, prepare and distribute all Completion procedures

·  Design and installation of tubulars, packers, subsurface control and surveillance equipment.

·  Evaluating and selecting appropriate equipment to achieve completion objectives

·  Designing through tubing and concentric workovers and intelligent completions

·  Preparing AFE cost estimates, tracking/approving expenditures against AFE estimates

·  Assist in scheduling and recruiting of qualified Completion Consultants

·  Work closely with Technical Staff to ensure accurate reporting and tracking of water usage, completion costs and daily well activities

Qualifications:

·  Minimum 5 years of experience in unconventional shale gas completions. Must have slick water shale experience in Marcellus and/or Utica shales.

·  Strong troubleshooting skills including the ability to use multiple data sources to solve operational problems

·  Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must

·  Knowledge of industry codes and standards, environmental regulations

·  Demonstrated ability to interface with Drilling, HSE, Procurement, Construction Operations, Operations Management, State & Local regulatory agencies and Planning/Finance Groups

·  Demonstrated ability to simultaneously support multiple projects of varying complexity

·  Ability to effectively work in a cross functional environment

·  Proficient in MS Office Products, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

·  Working Knowledge of Process Simulation Software—preferably MFrac/MShale

·  Valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a company vehicle is required

Education:

·  Bachelor’s degree in engineering required. Petroleum engineering degree preferred
