Job Description
Job Title:Business RelationsAdministrator
Responsible to:Head of Business Relations
Location:Labour Party Head Office - London
Responsible for:Carrying out all necessary administrative and support tasks as allocated by the Head of Business Relations and Director of Conference and Events.
Key purpose:To provide administrative support to the Business relations team.To ensure that thebusiness relations database is kept up to date and that business engagementevents are effectively administered.
Specific Responsibilities
- Database Administration
- Ensure that the Business Relations database (Raisers Edge) is accurately maintained and updated.
- Ensure that filing systems for business engagement events are maintained.
- To produce mailings/labels/badges and lettersusing the database.
- To assist the Head of Business Relations with research into companies and business contacts.
2. Events
- Assist with the invitation and reply process at all business engagement events, including business events at Annual Conference.
- Processreply forms and maintain accurate records on the database.
- Assist with the selling and marketing of business engagement events, including tele-marketing.
- Attend and work business engagement events, building relationships with business people and supporters as appropriate.
- Liaise with the offices of Members of Parliament to secure their attendance at business engagement events.
- Manage and lead on certain business engagement events, including; sourcing venues, hosts and external speakers; liaising with political offices on content and planning; managing and coordinating the event on the day.
3. Relations
- Co-ordinate complex and tailored mailings to a variety ofbusiness stakeholders.
- Establish and grow personal networks and relationships with external stakeholders and potential endorsers.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed byHead of Business Relationsand Director of Conference and Events.
4. Website Management
- Manage and maintain the Business Relations website.
- Generate and manage content.
The above tasks and responsibilities will form the basis of the post-holder’s work objectives and performance appraisal as set by the Head of Business Relationsand Director of Conference and Events.
