Job Title: Assistant Retail Supervisor

Reports to: Retail Manager
Job Role Summary:
We are looking for a hard working individual with a professional approach, an attention to detail and somebody who works well as part of ateam to assist the Retail Manager in day to day duties. Applicants must have experience in the surf retail (fashion, equipment and accessories) environment, have strongcommunication skills, be able to operate independently and complete tasks to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
• Ensuring smooth running of shop floor.
• Serve customers by providing information, answering questions, obtaining merchandise requested, completing payment transactions and preparing merchandise for delivery.
• Assist in the management of deliveries.
• Leading shifts, assisting with rotas and planning of daily operations
• Ensure that you and the team consistently deliver excellent standards of customer service.
• Work with the various brand representatives and follow guidelines to maximize customer flow and sales potential.
• Assist in training and developing of all new staff members.
• Work closely with our retail partners to ensure the smooth running of their dealer events
Qualifications and experience required:
Educated to GCSE standard or higher
Experience in a similar role and have dealt with retail duties such as cash handling, stock control and simple accounting.
Computer literate and capable of learning new programmes/ procedures quickly and accurately
Experience of working with electronic equipment such as tills and credit card machines
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Good knowledge of customer service areas and dealing with complaints and problem solving
Excellent communication skills at all levels within the team and with customers
The ability to be an excellent team player with the drive and motivation to work independently to achieve all set targets
To be flexible with work hours and be willing to assist in all areas of the operation
Comfortable dealing with money and accounting for the daily takings
Be keen to display constant high levels of service & standards to meet the customer expectations
