JOB TITLE:AREA MANAGER (ROVING)

CHILD NUTRITION SERVICES

QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or GED. Louisiana Manager Certificate; canoperate Bon Appetitsystem; two years experience.

REPORTS TO:Supervisor of Child Nutrition Services

JOB GOAL:Assists in the effective and efficient operation of the Child Nutrition Program in the areas of foods and record keeping.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises multiple cafeterias.

Assists the Supervisor of Child Nutrition Programin conducting administrative reviews.

Analyzes the SFS-6 forms in terms of meeting the federal meal requirements.

Assists in checking the monthly purchased and commodity food inventories.

Assists in conducting parish in-service training programs and staff meetings.

Assists the Supervisor with State training programs.

Reviews all lunchroom reports for accuracy.

Assists managers in the area of merchandising to improve quality and attractiveness of meals.

Insures that production and portion controls are maintained in all schools.

Maintains a daily record of activities subject to review by the Supervisor.

Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of Child Nutrition Programs.

REQUIREMENTS OF WORK

High School diploma or GED. Louisiana Manager Certificate.

Able to operate Bon Appetit School Food Service computer system.

Five years successful experience as a school manager.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Division:Crafts & Trade

Pay Grade:6

Working Days:Ten months
