Position Summary:Row New York seeks to hire a dynamic and goal-oriented Alumni Program Manager. The Alumni Program Manager will oversee alumni programming at Row New York. They will support management and execution of new and existing alumni programs that help them matriculate to and succeed in college and postsecondary education and work towards our ultimate goal of a stable professional career.The Alumni Program Manager will apply their expertise and work together with relevant stakeholders to identify, track and serve alumni-related needs. The candidate will develop strong, healthy relationships with Row New York participants, manage a caseload of college freshmen and sophomores and to support alumni while in college and beyond. This position is full-time with benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

●In collaboration with the Academic Team and Program Managers, plan for the academic year, which includes but is not limited to: college visits, alumni events, and career opportunities.

●Create an alumni job board where alumni can see specific job and internship opportunities.

●Provide alumni participants with personalized guidance, information, and reminders about program events.

●Support, plan, and lead workshops for Row New York Alumni Corps.

●Design, plan, and implement alumni events, conference/workshops that are geared towards college persistence and the acquisition of academic, social-emotional, and self-efficacy skills and competencies.

●Communicate with our alumni using positive reinforcement, high expectations, community-building, and norming.

●Manage a communications strategy for college-aged alumni and college graduates.

●Support execution of virtual and local events to engage students and encourage community participation.

●Conduct program site visits and travel to college campuses as needed.

●Support our students academically, socially and emotionally and connecting them to resources as needed.

●Support program evaluation, including survey data, interviews, site visits, and focus groups; synthesize information to share findings and improve alumni-focused programs going forward.

●Creatively source internships, career opportunities, and work with Row New York and beyond for our alumni.

●Work with the Associate Board, Board of Directors, and the Academics team to develop a holistic strategy to track internships with corporate partners.

●Manage the Alumni Crew.

●Advocate for Row New York alumni and help develop relationships and opportunities to further their learning and professional growth.

Requirements:

●Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

●The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of demonstrated experience managing educational programs and complex projects in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment.

●Experience in workforce development and/or college access and a commitment to Row New York.

●Ability and willingness to travel as necessary.

●Deep interest in education and/or youth development.

●Proven experience working with youth, parents, educators, administrators, and community leaders.

●Flexible to work evenings and some weekends.

●Strong work ethic coupled with an enthusiastic and passionate approach to work.

●A sense of humor.

●Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

●Proactive problem-solver who demonstrates initiative and ability to work individually and with a team.

●Experience working with first-generation college bound students.

●Knowledge of the college access and success landscape in New York City.

●Volunteer management experience preferred.

●Exceptional communication skills; ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across multiple teams to support seamless program execution.

●Successful track record in setting priorities, shaping processes, and executing quickly and effectively.
