Job Shadow Assignment
Job shadowing scheduled for Weeks of March 19-March 30, 2007 (excluding Tuesday March 27, 2007 – Trip to NSCC)
What you need to do before the job shadow:
· Signed permission slip from parent/guardian returned by (latest) Monday March 19, 2007 (permission forms handed out to students Monday March 5, 2007)
· Letter for Supervisor returned Monday March 19, 2007-03-09
· Permission Slip for teachers returned by Tuesday March 20, 2007
What work is required of you for this assignment (All due my Tuesday April 3, 2007):
· Observe a full work day – Each student is expected to observe a full work day and assist if possible.
· Complete a log/diary of your experience – During the visit to the workplace, students will complete a log/diary of their experience.
· Interview the worker being shadowed.
· Submit the completed supervisor evaluation form. Supervisor of the job shadow day are asked to compete a brief evaluation of how the student performed during the day.
· Prepare a report which they will present to their classmates on their job shadowing experience.
