We are looking for an enthusiastic, Chartered and HCPC-registered Physiotherapist to join an interdisciplinary research team on a project investigating upper limb physiotherapy after stroke. The project (EVERLAP: Early VERsus Later Augmented Physiotherapy compared with usual upper limb physiotherapy: an exploratory RCT of arm function after stroke) is funded by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy Charitable Trust (Neurology Special Award).

The role involves screening and assessing people with stroke, designing and delivering tailor-made and evidence-based interventions to improve functional activity involving the affected arm (based on a study manual), as well as undertaking outcome measures. Additionally, the role involves communicating and collaborating with both clinical staff and the research team, and undertaking administration and management duties to support the project. The candidate is welcome to join a wide range of research seminars at GCU. There is also an opportunity for the candidate to undertake a PhD alongside this exciting project. An induction programme and ongoing training will be provided.
