Key responsibilities
1. To be an integral member of the team that provides a comprehensive Landscaping, Arboriculture, Caretaking, Cleaning and Environmental Service to tenants of Villages in both high rise and low rise accommodation.
2. To undertake the maintenance and construction of all hard and soft landscape areas identified by Villages Housing.
3. Maintain the necessary skills, knowledge, competencies and licences to carry out this role which includes relevant arboricultural skills.
4. Ensure that daily and weekly checks on machinery and vehicles are undertaken and any faults or damage are recorded and reported.
5. Operate machinery relevant to the role and undertake development training on new machinery.
ADDITIONALQUALITIES / ESSENTIAL / DESIRABLE
Education & Training / · Minimum of 2 GCSE grades A to C or equivalent to include Maths and English.
· City & Guilds NPTC Level CS30, 31, 38, 39, 40 & 41 Award in Chainsaw and Aerial Tree work (Formerly CS39) / E licence (trailer)
MEWP (Mobile Elevated Platforms)
Current Driving Licence
Experience / · Experienced in landscape and arboriculture work
Skills & Abilities / · Able to work in an organised and methodical way in a demanding environment. / · The IT skills listed under ‘Use of Technology’ above.
· Use of horticultural equipment
Other requirements / · Able to travel between two Villages offices weekly and other locations as required.
· Ability and willingness to attend evening meetings as required.
· A uniform is provided and must be worn.
· ‘No Smoking’ Policy applies.
· Eligible to work in the UK / · Car owner
