GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

Responsiblefordeveloping,organizing, and implementingintramuralsports,activities,and events.Thisincludessuchresponsibilitiesas:leading,directing,andsupervisinga varietyof peopleand programs;creatingeffectivecommunity,parent,teacher,childcommunications,supporting,encouraging,andmentoring;fosteringteamworkbetweenteachersand amongstaff, parents,students,cityprograms, non-profits;and managingbudgetitems.Theintramuralfacilitatorwouldfocuson providingcultural,social,athletic,artistic,andrecreationalactivitiesthat facilitatepersonalgrowthand strengthenthebond betweenstudentandschool.

ESSENTIALDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1.Developstrategicpartnershipswithcommunity groups,includingsponsorships.

2.Organize andleadstudentintramuralboard.

3.Coordinateintramural/eventregistration,payments,and overseeintramural/eventrosters.

4.Develop purchaserequestsand preparereports.

5.Assistwithsupervisionforboth onand off-siteprograms.

6.Coordinateemergencyprocedures,policies,and equipment/fieldchecks and repairs.

7.Coordinateandleadtrainingof eventofficials.

8.Communicateaccuratelyand timely withparents,staffand students asneeded.

9.Schedule sports events,facilities, andofficials.

10.Interviewapplicants,checkreferencesand completehireforms,submitpayroll.

11.Developandevaluate intramuralsports,events,andactivitiesto meetthe needs ofstudentsand studentinterest.

12.Teach personal training skills.

13.Teach muscle groups needed for specific sports.

14.Teach game based strategies.

15.Resolveconflicts.

16.Inventoryintramural/eventequipment.

17.Ordertrophies,t-shirts,and otherrewards,as needed.

18.Developelectronic andpapercommunicationtoolsforintramuralprogramming.

19.Developandcommunicateintramuralpolicyand procedures.

20.Performanyotherrelatedduties asassigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To performthisjob successfully,an individualmustbeableto performeachessentialdutymentionedsatisfactorily.Therequirementslistedbelow arerepresentativeoftheknowledge,skill,and/orabilityrequired.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelors’degree or2yearsrelatedexperienceand/ortrainingorequivalentcombinationofeducationand experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Abilityto writereports,businesscorrespondence, andpolicy/proceduremanuals;Abilityto effectivelypresent information andrespond toquestionsfromgroups ofmanagers,clients,customers,andthegeneralpublic.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES,LICENSES,REGISTRATIONS

CPR certification, required
