UTC Bolton takes a new and different approach to education.

UTC Bolton is one of the first schools in the UK specialising in health sciences and engineering technologies for 14 to 19 year olds. The UTC provides outstanding academic and vocational education by working closely with local employers to create the next generation of scientists, healthcare practitioners, engineers and entrepreneurs. Students have access to world class resources and facilities, a curriculum developed in conjunction with business partners and delivered by experts both in and out of the classroom.

This is a unique opportunity; no other type of school can prepare students for university and the world of work in this way.

  • Are you genuinely able to make a difference to the lives of young people?
  • Do you have a passion for educating students that does not end with their GCSE or A Level results, but that thinks beyond to truly improve their life choices and chances?
  • Do you work collaboratively to achieve the highest possible standards of work and conduct, not only in your planning and delivery of outstanding teaching, but also in your commitment to mentoring in order to guide students through their individual learning journeys?
  • Are you committed to innovation in your teaching, your professional development and developing your professional network?
  • Will you support the delivery of project based learning based on real vocational opportunities?
  • Will you maximise student outcomes whilst supporting the delivery of masterclasses and student work placements?
  • Have you pioneered new ways of teaching to enhance students’ experiences and outcomes?

Do you have what it takes?

  • If you do then come and share in our vision of aligning education with the needs of business communities in the health sciences and engineering technologies sector to ensure delivery of our promise – a job, university place or apprenticeship for every student.
