If you are still reading these emails, you are most likely the type of person we would like to apply for a job with Lifebushido.

Instead of completing the usual job application form and doing a phone interview, our process is the following:

1. Create a Word or PDF document to answer our Lifebushido Job Application questions on the next page. It is easy to cut and paste the questions. Save your document with your answers. Name your file: Lifebushido Job Application – FirstNameLastName. [Example: Lifebushido Job Application – Steve Kantor.]

2. Follow the instructions on the last page to use our online database, QuickBase, to complete your Lifebushido Record and upload your Job Application and Resume. For consistency, name your Resume file Resume – FirstNameLastName. [Example: Resume – Steve Kantor] Once your Record is created, you will not have access to it until after you are hired. So please be prepared to complete this step in one sitting.

3. Please do not call our office. If you have questions or get stuck, please send an email to: with subject of Recruit Question – FirstNameLastName.

Completing Your Job Application with QuickBase -

The entire Lifebushido business is operated using a variety of databases and online services. One suchdatabase, QuickBase, is an online process making it easier to evaluate job applicants. The followingpage explains how to get started with QuickBase and the Apps within QuickBase Lifebushido uses.

Dedicated Email Accounts

It is important the name and email address you use to register with QuickBase and to apply for a job is the same one you use to do work with Lifebushido. This email account should be for you only and not shared. Your email address and name should be yours alone, not a shared or a family email address. Dedicate this email address to Lifebushido use only. Most of us use a Gmail account with our name. [Example:

PayPal –

PayPal is a free service to receive payments and transfermoney to your bank account or spend online for services that accept PayPal. Lifebushido makes payments to all Global Ishidos via PayPal only. If you are unable to accept payments through PayPal, you should NOT continue. It is very important youcheck whether your country is included or not. Please visit andcheck requirements.

Register with QuickBase - Detailed Instructions -

Please go to and choose Sign in at upper right. DO NOT click on Free trialbutton. Then choose Create a Log-in. If you have not previously used QuickBase, you will be asked foryour email (verify you typed this correctly as this is how you will be contacted), a password and your Name. Agree to the Terms of Service.There is NO FEE associated with QuickBase. You will then have access to databases based on permissions granted by managers. As you evolve with Lifebushido, your permissions may change.

Please spell your name with upper and lower case, like Steve Kantor. You must first register forQuickBase for free and use that login to add your job application.

Creating Your QuickBase Record - Add your Job Application & Resume

Please allow enough time to complete this step in one sitting as you will be unable to access or make any changes to your record once it is saved. Do not create more than one record. Complete your Recruit Record by logging in to QuickBase or visiting: Upload your Job Application and Resume. If you have questions or encounter problems, send an email to . People Working with Lifebushido -

This is a database of job applications. There is a green button called "+ Add a New Person". Select this button and complete your information. If we need to email, mail, or call you, this is the information we will use. It is important you use your dedicated email account for Lifebushido when you create your record.

Once you have done that, click the "save" button at the top of the screen. Please upload a copy of your Resume and Job Application to your Recruit record. Add some bio notes on who you are and your background. Remember to complete all fields. This database will be used to communicate with people, call if needed, and mail anything. Please do this immediately after you have registered with QuickBase.

Remember to complete full address and phone fields in case we need to mail or call. When done, save your record. After you are hired, you can go back to your record at any time to update as needed.
