Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Al-Ghubrah Power & Desalination Company)

Planning & Recourse Dept.

  • Develop the maintenance schedules for the winter outages and the regular maintenance for summer periods by coordinating with internal plant management, transmission and coordinate with transmission companies to ensure that there is minimal interruption in the supply of power and related due to maintenance or shutdowns.
  • Prepare the master maintenance schedules for all equipment’s with the help of the maintenance record sheet of the previous years, inputs from transmission company, internal conditions, business plan and the P(W)PA and ensure that all equipment are covered in the maintenance schedule.
  • Estimate the manpower and materials resources required for carrying out the maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the planning team and develop the routine summer maintenance schedule to ensure all equipment’s are functioning as per the standards and there is a minimal breakdown.
  • Prepare preventive planning maintenance (PPM) sheet and assist the maintenance department and the operation department to carry out the maintenance for each unit belonging to the main system and the auxiliaries units for each month, quarter and year.
  • Prepare annual report on manpower and spare parts consumed during the year and present the various defects and the maintenance.
  • Prepare monthly report giving status on the various maintenance undertaken, resources used and also the schedules that need to be undertaken in the following months for the maintenance department
  • Lead and guide subordinates by providing them with technical guidance, training and the required growth opportunities to ensure that subordinates are developed for higher-level roles.
