QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Must have dependable transportation, a valid driver license, be insurable through Agency insurance policy and be willing to travel throughout Jefferson County.
Applicants must be reliable, dependable, honest, be self-motivatedand able to work independently.
Enjoy working with people and be sensitive to the requirements of low-income persons.
Exhibit the ability to interview potential clients and record facts accurately.
Possess good writing, and communication skills such as preparing and presenting concise written materials and reports.
Be computer literate to enter data for stats required by funding sources.
Submit to and pass a BCI&I and FBI background check as required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a related field preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by a person in this position. They are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all duties that may be performed in such a position.
Provisions of services designed to assist low-income persons to overcome those barriers preventing them from rising above the poverty level and will provide special project coordination.
Function as a direct link between the JCCAC and the families in need of services on a day-to-day basis.
Complete client intake and assess needs and refer clients to appropriate resources or services designed to help alleviate those needs or problems.
Perform necessary follow-up procedures in order to insure services were received and to determine any additional needs and services.
Maintain current and accurate household records, and insure that they are integrated into the Agency master file system.
Keep informed and knowledgeable about federal, state and local resources and share this information with other staff as appropriate.
Provide supportive services to the Agency programs as directed by Supervisor.
Complete other duties as assigned.
NOTE: ALL POSITIONS ARE CONTINGENT UPON CONTINUED RECEIPT OF FUNDING FROM GRANT SOURCE.
