Objectives: To write or arrange, rehearse and perform great music and improve ensemble reading and section blend.

Attendance is mandatory. If there is a reason you cannot attend a rehearsal, you must speak with the instructor, provide a competent substitute and leave the book.

Grades- To receive an A, guitarists must arrange or compose a piece for 5 guitars, bass and drums (copied legibly or preferably using Finale software); be present at all rehearsals and performances unless discussed and agreed upon by instructor, and learn your parts to the best of your ability.

Equipment- There will be some charts that call for effects pedals. You should consider distortion, chorus and delay the basic effects. Solid bodies or semi-hollow work better in these ensembles than big archtops.

October 17- both ensembles in the Syndicate 9:00-10:15

November 13- L5 in Kenton at 8:00

November 27- Super 400 in Kenton at 8:00
