Bethune will continue to develop a strong culture of feedback and support to improve the quality of instruction and retain (HQ) highly qualified teachers.
Key Indicators: How do we measure our progress to mastery?
  • As measured by the district's climate survey, the category of Beliefs and Priorities will increase from 90% to 95% positive as we align our district’s and school’s beliefs and priorities.
  • As measured by the district's climate survey, the category of Culture of Feedback and Support will increase from 76% to 80% positive as we continue to develop a culture of feedback and support to improve the quality of instruction.
  • As measured by the district’s climate survey, the category of Positive Culture and Environment will increase from 76% to 80% positive as we continue to hire and retain HQ teachers.
  • As measured by TEI, the percentage of proficient teachers will increase from 82% to 90% through a culture of feedback and support.

  1. 100% of STATE CERTIFIED teachers will receive 5 face-to-face feedback sessions with specific polish from school leaders per spot/extended observations.
  1. School leaders will provide targeted grade-level specific professional development based on spot observation data during PLCs.
  1. School leaders will provide and facilitate extended planning opportunities to teachers for collaborative lesson planning, vertical alignment and development of SMART goals for students.

Bethune will continue to use data-driven and differentiated instruction to progress monitor and increase student achievement in all content areas.
Key Indicators: How do we measure our progress to mastery?
  • As measured by district ACPs, the percentage passing school-wide will be 75% or higher for all grade levels in every content.
  • As measured by state assessments, the percentage of students approaching standard will be 75%, 50% will meet standard and 25% will master standard in Reading and Math.
  • As evident in data meetings once every six weeks, 100% of teachers will meet with school leaders to discuss student progress and develop SMART goals based on tiers.
  • As measured by ISIP data, 80% of students in K-2 will either increase at least one tier or perform at tier 1 by the end of the year.

  1. School leaders will provide additional resources/materials including technology (IPads) for teachers to use to differentiate their lessons.

  • 95% of parents respond positive per the end of the year parent survey.

What are we doing to achieve our goal?

  1. School leaders will host regular meetings with parents such as Coffee with the Principal, Donuts with Dads, Parent workshops and parent information sessions.
