Referee Examinations

IWAS IWFC would like to invite its Member Nations to submit names of candidates to attend Wheelchair Fencing Referee Examinations in all 3 weapons (IWF referee licence “B”).

The IWAS Wheelchair Fencing Referee Examinations are offered to referees without a valid IWF referee licence.

The Examinations will be conducted by IWFC Referee Commissioners.

The Criteria for candidates that want to attend is as follows:

Each Nation can nominate a maximum of two people to attend.

All candidates MUST have a good understanding of English

All candidates must have experience as a referee at national level in two weapons

All candidates must provide IWAS with a passport size electronic photograph for their licence when they register for the training.

Costs:

Registration fee to attend Examinations: €100 per candidate. For those that gain a B Licence, this will include first year’s licence fee. (It is not refunded if you do not pass the exam)

Programme:

The schedule is drawn up in such a way that referees that are travelling with the teams attending the World Cup can also attend the training.
