iValULife Values Inventory Assessment
You have between now and the first day of recruitment to complete this inventory. Bring your results to Orientation on January 8th!
- It takes about 20 minutes to complete the LVI
- Ensure that your pop up blocker is off
- Go to: lifevaluesinventory.org
- In the upper right hand corner click “create account”
- A pop up window will appear that asks if you want to “read more” or “create and account”- click “create account”
- Create an account by entering an email, password and your first and last name
- Scroll down to accept the terms of use
- Click “create account”
- Click “start” on the welcome popup menu
- In the demographic section fill only the following areas are required for you to fill out as an IVALU participant:
- Age
- Gender
- Race/ ethnic background
- Organizational affiliation (this is VERY important) write in “IVALU”
- Under organization name write in “University of Central Arkansas”
- Read the instructions on the page that comes up and click “next”
- Take the assessment.
Note there is one cumbersome component of the life values inventory: section two. Section two asks you to clarify your values using four categories. The four categories each represent a different relationship between the importance you place on a value and how often you act on it.There are also instructions during the assessment for this section, just know that it is tricky and may take an extra moment for you to process how to answer the questions - When you see the symbol High I=A- Mark it if this value is important and you frequently act on it.
- When you see the symbol A> I- Mark it if you are acting on this value more frequently than you would prefer.
- When you see the symbol I> A- Mark it if this value is important but you do not act on it as frequently as you would prefer.
- When you see the symbol Low I=A- Mark it if this value is not very important and you do not act on it very often.
- After you have finished the assessment, a pop up window will appear that says “your values profile is ready”
- Click on download PDF
- Save the PDF file to your computer
- Print the PDF file from your computer
- Read the results and enjoy! (Also, print and bring to Orientation on January 8th!
