In-Kind Donation Guidelines

In addition to safety and shelter, New Life Center provides food, clothing, personal care items and other necessities to approximately 90 children and adults each day. More than 70% of our shelter population is under the age of 15. In fact, each year, New Life Center typically serves more children than any other singleemergency domestic violence shelter in Arizona (Source: FY 16 and FY 17 AZ DES Shelter Service Fund Reports).

In-Kind donations are crucial to our operations. The items listed below are in constant rotation at our emergency shelter. If you would like to make an in-kind donation to New Life Center, please refer to this list. In-Kind Donation Guidelines

Hope’s Closet is a thrift store owned and operated by New Life Center. It serves two important purposes crucial to our work with domestic violence survivors. First, every child and adult seeking refuge at New Life Center’s emergency shelter has access to all the clothing and furnishings offered at the store completely free of charge. This is to ensure our families’ basic needs are met while they are residing in shelter and upon their exit from our facility. Second, all the proceeds from Hope’s Closet support the operations of our shelter. Approximately 15% of New Life Center’s $2.6 million budget is funded from the store’s proceeds.

Those who donate items to our store and the members of our community who shop at Hope’s Closet are important partners in our work. Each and every donor and shopper furthers our mission to empower survivors of domestic violence in a real and tangible away. THANK YOU!
