It takes a village to do most things that involve children, and getting

ready for a new school year is no exception. We never see all the

work that our amazing RJR faculty and staff put in but the evidence

is all around us; the same is true for our PTSA volunteers! The

problem withthanking folks in writing is I’m likely to forget

someone, but I’m going to risk it because it’s important to share

just how much volunteer effort is expended between the last day of

school and the first day of the new school year.

Arts Express Passes

The Arts Express season passes will be on sale in the magnet office (back corner of the media center) through September 11th. The cost is $40 and includes a T-shirt (with optional tie-dye opportunity), tickets to six visual and performingarts events, and transportation. Find complete information at:

National Honor Society

Any junior or senior not currently in NHSwith at leasta 3.2 UNWEIGHTED GPA needs to see Ms. Ziehl in room 307 to pick up an application. Applications are due by September 16th at 4:00 p.m. to Ms. Ziehl or Mr. Gerringer in room 320.

Demon Shop

There will be a baseball parent meeting in the cafeteria on Tuesday at 6:00.

Cheer Clinic

There will be a cheer clinic on October 2nd for all youth cheerleaders. See the RJR website for registration forms and more details.

All-American Dancers

Six RJR dancers received All-American honors this summer! They have been invited to the New Year’s Parade in London as All-American dancers sponsored by the Universal Dance Association. They are: Dani Gross, Ariel Freedman, Kamryn King, Madeline Saintsing, Rachel Kiger and Kimberlee-Mykel Thompson. Congratulations!
