Dear Parent,
It’s time to start planning for registering your child/children for the upcoming 2017-2018 Awana year. Enclosed in the envelope is a registration and medical release form. Please look over the data we have on your child/children and make corrections. If you have a new child to register please add their information. Bring this form with you to one of the registration days listed on the IMPORTANT INFORMATION SHEET, NO registrations the first day of club. Prices for dues, books and uniforms are listed in the bottom right corner, of the form, to give you an idea of how much your bill will be. Please wait to make out your Check until you get thru registration. For our Leaders only, we offer the Cubbies program for your 3 & 4 year old child. If you have a preschooler that you wish to register and you would like to serve in a leadership capacity in one of our Awana Clubs, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can ensure a place for your child and determine where you are interested in serving. We would love to have you as part of our leadership team. Our motto is ~ “Reaching Boys and Girls with the Gospel of Christ and Training them to Serve Him”. Join us in this powerful ministry to God’s Kids!
We have planned what we hope will be an exciting year for the 2017-2018 Awana year. We have programs for clubbers in grades K-8 Wednesday nights from 6:30-8:30P.M., beginning on August 30th.
Our Sparkies, K-2nd, will begin their adventures with Sparky in the Book of Genesis. 3rd & 4th graders “Truth & Training” (T&T) clubbers will be starting a new book called “Mission: Evidence of Grace; and the “Truth & Training” (T&T) program, 5th-6th; will continue the Ultimate Challenge books. The Trek club (7th-8th graders) will be working in the book “His Story”.
Journey 24/7 will be starting a new book this year called “Advocates”. Many of the high school clubbers serve as Student Leaders on Wednesday evenings; however their club continues to meet on Sundays from 3:30-5:30P.M., for games, Bible study, and handbook memory work.
I am excited about the upcoming year and hope your children will join us for a challenging year of growing in their relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I consider it a privilege to work with your children and am always willing to answer any of your questions. Please feel free to contact me at home in the evenings or via e-mail during the day.
In His Service,
Awana Ministry Director

Recycle With Us: Our Awana Clubs recycle aluminum soda cans and plastic soda or water bottles to provide funding for the Awana Christmas Store and the Awana Fair Store! Please consider saving and crushing your aluminum cans and 2-liter bottles to turn in the last Wednesday of nearly every month (September - April). Clubbers earn an Awana Buck for every ten, pre-crushed, aluminum cans or five, pre-smashed soda bottles with the caps removed. Clubbers can spend their hard-earned Awana Bucks at the Awana Store, the quarterly Awana Plateau Cafés, and at the Awana Fair at the end of the club year! Please do not send non-CA redemption bottles, glass bottles, or other items like milk cartons or soup cans. Recycle these items through your home trash services.
Another Important Reminder: All clubbers MUST wear athletic shoes in order to participate in our Awana Game Time. We play on the parking lot surface and recommend wearing long pants, however shorts with at least a 4” inseam are also acceptable. We also encourage modest dress ~ no baggie pants with underwear exposed, no short tops with stomachs showing, and no spaghetti-straps or tight fitting shirts. We strongly encourage clubbers, Student Leaders and Leaders to wear their uniforms each week. Your assistance in this area would be greatly appreciated as we are attempting to provide a wholesome, safe environment for all of the children that God entrusts to us.
