15 hours (2 days) per week
Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.30pm
Job Purpose: / The post holder will be responsible for the accounting and administration of all direct debits paid to/from Refuge current and donor accounts ensuring that these are properly authorised and coded. The post holder will also be responsible for the accounting and administration of all fundraising receipts paid into all Refuge bank accounts. A key requirement of the post is to input all this data onto the accounting system (Exchequer) in an accurate and timely manner.

Main duties:
1 / To code, list and promptly bank all monies and cheques relating to fundraising activities
2 / To liaise with the Fundraising Department and obtain detailed information regarding all sources of voluntary income ensuring that the fundraising income is accurately coded/posted into the accounting system
3 / To enter all banking transactions set up on direct debit or standing order onto the accounting system
4 / To enter all banking transactions received by direct debit or standing order onto the accounting system
5 / To reconcile all supplier accounts set up on direct debit to statements and file all direct debit invoices
6 / Assist in month end transactions especially expenditure nominals – breaking down and analysing the expenditure
7 / To accurately and diligently file all supporting documentation
8 / To assist in opening and distribution the finance post
9 / To cover the role of Finance Assistant (payments and expenses) during absences
General
10 / As part of the Finance team, to undertake such ad-hoc tasks and/or duties as may reasonably be requested by the Management Accountant or Head of Finance
