As a group you will research and present a 10 minute presentation on a period of fashion Each member should have a speaking part. The group will utilize a template for the presentation. See example online.

In clued the following points in your presentation:

  1. Historical background- Include historical events that might have influenced fashion, such as WW1, WW2. How were men and women viewed at this time- effects on what they wore. Who influenced the fashions?
  2. Major designers- Who were the major designers of this period? What was their fashion statement? List the designers by name and their contribution. You must list at least 4, but encouraged to do more. Include both men and women’s fashions.
  3. Fabrics- What fabrics were popular and how were they used? Mention fabrics by name. You must list at least 4-5.
  4. Accessories- How were accessories like jewelry, scarves, hats, belts, shoes, purses, etc. used?
  5. Illustrations- Show a range of illustrations during that time- everyday wear, casual, evening, special occasion.
  6. Comparison withfashions today- How are the fashions of today influenced by this period of fashion? Find at least 4 examples. Include movies
  7. References. You will need at least 3-4 references. More encouraged. All group members must list APA style their references on slides they contribute. A composite APA reference should be the last slide of your presentation. See this link for referencing -
