1. Introduction

VDX 4.1.2rolls up a number of fixes that were made subsequent to the 4.1.1 release.

1.1Complete list of issues fixed in 4.1.2

  • VDX-6997: NCIP authentication does not work.
  • VDX-7848: Holdings Sort Rota configuration ignored in WebAdmin, ZPORTAL and Windows Admin after bib search in search results display.
  • VDX-8110: Create an IFM-style report that logs transactions and costs between brokered libraries since these transactions cannot yet be handled by automated IFM charging.
  • VDX-8288: Amend the Patron Request API to handle UK copyright requirements.
  • VDX-8565: A diacritic character in the request causes the Patron Request API driver to crash if it is to be sent in the RTM.
  • VDX-8718: Shelf location needs to be part of the call number.
  • VDX-8728: Brokered requests to email responders do not progress in the rota when “Informed Not Supplied” or “Cancel” action is done on them.
  • VDX-8747: When a request is manually brokered, the requester’s delivery address is overwritten by the broker’s delivery address.
  • VDX-8748: Expired brokered requests do not move on in the rota but stop at Not Supplied.
  • VDX-8767: If there are more than 999 failures when trying to send an IFM transaction then an Oracle error will occur as the send_count field is limited to 3 digits.
  • VDX-8772: Under some unknown circumstances a NullPointerException is thrown during the login process.
  • VDX-8776: Generic Script is mapping the VTO tag value of B to “102” when it should be mapping it to “10Z”.
  • VDX-8779: Application error triggered when using Batch Update.
  • VDX-8783: The Shipped screen is unable to process the cost when using a locale with a comma as the decimal point.
  • VDX-8784: The search by user barcode in WebAdmin has been slowed down by the work queue speed improvements change, as it is forcing an unnecessary full table scan on borrowers.
  • VDX-8788: The media type is not being sent correctly in the SIP Create New Item message.
  • VDX-8794: The VLK tag in Generic Script is sending “missing&boek” instead of “zoek&book”.
  • VDX-8799: The edition is not being read in from an RTM when it is being sent in the service type portion of the RTM.
  • VDX-8807: The Athens return URL cannot be configured to work with https.
  • VDX-8810: The WCLM API does not appear to work when ZPORTAL is deployed using https.
  • VDX-8822: The WorldCat link button is not displaying after the ISBN on the Record Details page.
  • VDX-8825: The Amazon web service lookup now needs a signature.
  • VDX-8826: When a TIFF document is converted to PDF, the colour of the document changes to pink.
  • VDX-8847: NCIP hold with local OCLC number does not work.
  • VDX-8855: Error in ZPORTAL on Logout or Restart if proxy servers are enabled.
  • VDX-8869: The ILL symbol display sometimes fails to return a string.
  • VDX-8890: Speed improvements are needed for some of the work queue items in WebAdmin.
  • VDX-8894: The EContent proxy is passing on the length of the content as supplied to it – this is not correct as URLs within the content may have changed to point at the proxy.
  • VDX-8901: When searching for locations to add to the rota in WebAdmin, duplicate records are returned.
  • VDX-8927: WebAdmin stops responding.
  • VDX-8937: HTTP/XML authentication is not working on Solaris.
  • VDX-8958: Nightly statistics job is not running.
  • VDX-8968: State transition problem with BL DUE messages.
  • VDX-8981: Copyright policy sql is slow to run which causes the web to hang.
  • VDX-9000: The predefined “Send User Alert” alert record is created with the wrong id.

  • VDX-6997: NCIP authentication does not work.
  • VDX-8772: Under some unknown circumstances a NullPointerException is thrown during the login process.
